Meditation is thought to help with ADHD because it thickens your prefrontal cortex, a part of your brain that's involved in focus, planning and impulse control. It also raises your brain's level of dopamine, which is in short supply in our ADHD brains!
But it can be difficult to get there on your own! It doesn't matter if you're sitting up straight, listening to zen music and have the perfect mood lighting. The ADHD brain doesn't care about any of that.
Learning to connect to a meditative state is the first step towards removing the blocks that are holding you back from reaching those big goals. And when you start to remove those blocks you start to regain control of your life.
